I think you're right about the similarity between english and chinese ancient language when it comes to verses or poems. I sometimes feel modern chinese is less powerful in expression, less neat and tend to be prolix 5 }0 }& U6 A# ]" W4 C$ x8 \; T9 }: m& Z, s. U
